Scrimmage Set

On Monday, November 19th the Frontier Wolverines will travel to scrimmage the Dayspring Eagles at their home court. This will be a great evaluation tool to see where we are right now and what things we need to improve on the most. It should be an intriguing match up considering that both clubs are young.

Last year the Wolverines finished with 1 win for both programs and the Dayspring Eagles finished their season with 15 - 8 eventually losing to Rangely at the 2018 2A Regional Tournament. Having graduated 4 seniors the team looks to rebuild.

The Wolverines lost 15 straight including a 62 - 12 drubbing by the Brush Beet Diggers during their 3A girls district tournament and were 1 -19. Their only win last year was to Sheridan at the Arvada Tournament last year.

Teams averaged nearly 58 points against the Wolverines last year - something that Coach Helman has stressed as a point of emphasis throughout the off-season and going into the season last year. Teams that were successful last year held their opponents to 34 points per game were the top of the 3A standings. The focus is to get that defensive mentality as a part of our team DNA. If we are able to limit opponents to 7 or 8 points per quarter, the offensive output will take care of itself.
